Alycia Debnam Carey has appeared in the television series Fear the Walking Dead. At the age of 8 she began her acting career at the age of 8 in Sydney, Australia. Martha s New Coat was the first short film she was a part in. Her TV debut on an episode in the TV show McLeod's Daughter. It was in The 100 that she had her first major role. The show was based on the novels of similar titles. The character she played was Commander Lexa, the powerful chief of the 12 clans. Her popularity grew when she appeared in Fear the Walking Dead - a TV horror series. The show was received well by critics and it has won many awards and nominations. Jigsaw Girl as well as The Branch are other short films in which she has appeared. Her feature film debut by playing the lead role in the found-footage disaster movie Into the Storm . It did very well commercially, even though the reviews were mostly negative.
